‘Maar een derde donorharten wordt gebruikt’
Maar een derde van de geschikte donorharten in ons land wordt getransplanteerd in Nederlandse patiënten. Dat schrijft Hartpatiënten Nederland in een brandbrief aan minister Ab Klink (Volksgezondheid).
De rest van de donorharten verdwijnt naar het buitenland of wordt helemaal niet gebruikt, aldus de organisatie. ‘Dit betekent dat een groot aantal geschikte donorharten niet wordt aangewend voor levensreddende harttransplantaties en dat kandidaten op Nederlandse wachtlijsten onnodig overlijden’, schrijft [From Medisch Contact]
